Is this kit legal to purchase?
Yes. This is an unfinished 80% frame/receiver, which is not classified as a firearm by the ATF. It can be shipped directly to your door without an FFL transfer. However, you are solely responsible for knowing and complying with all federal, state, and local laws regarding the purchase, completion, and possession of such items. It is illegal to manufacture a firearm you are prohibited from possessing.
What tools are required to complete the frame?
Completion requires basic tools and workshop safety. You will need a handheld drill or drill press, an X-Acto knife or end-cutters, a flat file, and sandpaper. A vise to securely hold the jig is highly recommended for safety and precision. The included jig and drill bits are specifically designed for this frame.
What other parts do I need to build a functioning pistol?
This is a frame kit only. To build a complete pistol, you will need to source a separate parts kit or slide completion kit. This includes all upper components (slide, barrel, recoil spring assembly) and a lower parts kit (trigger mechanism, connectors, springs, etc.) compatible with Glock 19 Gen 3 models.
How difficult is the building process?
With patience, attention to detail, and mechanical aptitude, many first-time builders successfully complete their P80. The process involves precisely drilling pin holes and removing polymer tabs within the jig. We strongly recommend reviewing official Polymer80 guides and videos thoroughly before beginning. It is a rewarding project that provides intimate knowledge of your firearm’s operation.
