Polymer80 frames and build kits
Why choose a Polymer80 slide from a company that doesn't actually machine them? We do the work here. Polymer80slide exists for one clear reason: to give builders the exact matched slide components required to finish a functioning, reliable build. Every G19, G17, G26, and G43 slide we sell is designed with the P80 frame in mind from the start. You're not adapting a factory slide; you're installing the right part.
\n\nWhat Makes a Polymer80 Slide Kit Work
\nA custom slide kit is more than a stripped slide. It includes the UPK—the upper parts kit with extractor, plunger, striker assembly, and channel liner. The fit between the slide and your P80 frame's front and rear rails is critical. Too tight, and it won't cycle; too loose, and accuracy suffers. Our slides are CNC-machined from 17-4 stainless steel or 416 stainless steel blanks to match standard P80 rail specs. You also need to consider sight compatibility from the outset. Our slides are cut for specific footprints—RMR, Holosun 507C, or standard Glock dovetails—so decide on your optic before you buy. For a basic, no-frills build, a stripped slide and a quality, complete UPK gets it done. For a duty-ready build, you need a slide kit with an optic cut, front and rear serrations, and a finished barrel channel.
\n\nChoosing Between Pre-Assembled and Stripped
\nA pre-assembled slide assembly saves you time and guarantees the internal parts are installed with the correct torque and orientation. This is the right call if you lack the specific tools (like a channel liner tool and armorers block) or simply want a drop-in solution. Choose a stripped slide if you have a specific, high-end aftermarket UPK in mind or want to piece together components for a personal project. The risk with a stripped slide is mismatching parts—a Gen 4 ejector in a Gen 3 slide, for example, which can cause ejection issues. Our complete slide assemblies are built with Gen 3-compatible parts unless otherwise noted, so they pair directly with your P80 lower. Look at the G19 RMR Cut Slide Assembly for a ready-to-run option, or the G17 Windowed Stripped Slide if you're installing your own Guiderod and barrel.
\n\nFinishing the Build: Barrel and Sights
\nThe slide and barrel are a matched pair. A threaded barrel is necessary for a compensator or suppressor; a non-threaded, crowned barrel is for concealed carry. Your barrel choice dictates your slide's interior finish—a stainless barrel works with any slide, but a nitrided or PVD-coated barrel needs a smooth, polished feed ramp. For sights, suppressor-height sights are mandatory if you run an optic, as they provide a lower-third co-witness. Standard-height night sights are for non-optic slides. Installation requires a sight pusher; do not hammer them in. Free shipping applies to all orders over $99. We accept card and crypto checkout.
